What would be the best way to start working with runes? And which god/desses are associated with runes?

How do we ask to be taught runes by a God or Goddess?

The only person who can truly know if it was Loki is you; nobody else can determine who or what that was or wasn’t. There are ways to ask for conformation… tarot cards, pendulum work or, if you’re not experienced in those methods (and if it’s important enough you should not start practicing with a question like this) you can even get a second opinion from a guaranteed tarot reader; I recommend looking at the list given by grumpylokeanelder here on Tumblr.

hey everyone-
I was wondering if anyone else was interested in starting a project of love and respect for Angrboda (and She as Gullveig and//or other forms)?? it would basically be a great collection of art, poems, prayers, stories, thoughts, etc etc. on and for Her.
We could make our own…
Of course! I hope this is a good way to do it - I’m not very tumblr-savvy…
I’ve been meaning to start sourcing everything, but it will probably take a bit of time, since a lot of the information is just kind of my accumulated knowledge (I’ll do my best though!). About Loki’s life in…
An artist friend and I are looking to start a Kickstarter project for a book of illustrated Norse/Heathen lore, rewritten. I happen to be a writer, and a few weeks ago, I had to choose a tale for a class, and someone hinted I should choose Loki and Idunn’s Golden Apples. One of the big things is…
Anonymous asked grumpylokeanelder:I have two questions concerning the Rökk. Thought of asking after I read your answers on the matter. First: Is “The Jotunbook”, by Raven, a valid source? I’m a little skeptical about buying his books, for no specific reason. The second one I’ll ask in another question because there isn’t enough space : p
For the record, I’m also not a godspouse, and my relationship with Loki doesn’t include a sexual aspect.
If you have been feeling left out because it looks like everyone is a godspouse and has a sexual relationship with Loki, or feeling like you are lesser or Doin’ It Wrong because you don’t have either of these things, let me be your visible proof that you aren’t Doin’ It Wrong and aren’t a lesser follower..
You are just fine.
Since taking over this blog in recent months from its former owner, I readily admit that I have been remiss in my duties as its new administrator. A blog and a community, like anything else, needs care and feeding. I have not given it that proper care and feeding, and though it has made me uncomfortable, I have done nothing concrete about it. Well, that will, hopefully, change. I do not want to put this blog on the back-burner so much anymore. There are people who come here to seek knowledge or help, and there are others whose days are brightened just by what they see on their dash. I shouldn’t be letting either down. This is my promise to you guys, and to anyone who might come along in the future and, most highly, to myself. I will not let this community fester and die until it is well and truly its time to go. That time has not come.
Til then, I pledge to make at least one new post every day. Even if it’s just reblogging something, or sharing an experience of my own or somebody else. One. New. Post.
That’s all for now, and I thank EVERYBODY for being so patient with me. I am still learning.
This blog is also in part dedicated to Loki's family- his children, the Goddess Sigyn and also the giantess Angrboða and Svaðilfari.
